It turns out Binghamton University is not just a good place for getting an education as evidenced by its appearance over the years on numerous top-100 listings, but it’s also a pretty nice place to work.
B.U. has been recognized by Forbes as one of “America’s Best Employers by State”, placing 52nd on the list and 9th overall in its industry.
According to a news release put out by Binghamton University, the survey by Forbes allowed 70,000 employees to anonymously participate and provide honest feedback on businesses that employ at least 500 people.
The survey was not just educational institutions but involved various industries and businesses.
Binghamton University President, Doctor Harvey Stenger is quoted in the news item as saying, “These annual rankings further solidify our position as not only a great educational institution, but also a great community for everyone working on campus.”

Much attention over recent years has been directed at academics at State University of New York School, especially in various research efforts.
The campus continues to grab headlines through the work of its resident Nobel Prize-winning professor, Chemist, Doctor M. Stanley Whittingham and his work in developing technology surrounding battery storage systems.
In other Forbes rankings, Binghamton University in 2019 placed 38th best value institution in the country.  B.U. also ranked higher than any other SUNY school on the Forbes 2022 “America’s Top Colleges” at 65th.
Forbes ranks Binghamton University at 22nd in the Country for public universities.
B.U. Vice President for Operations, JoAnn Navarro says “we’re pleased our employees love working here” as the university works to provide an inclusive and welcoming work environment.
