Virtual SDCCU Biz Kid$ events will be held on Wednesdays throughout July
San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is hosting SDCCU Biz Kid$ Summer Series events online to help engage kids and teens with fun and interactive ways to learn about money, finances and business over the summer break. Topics include: Crash Course on Starting a Business; My First Credit Card; and Are you Financially Literate? These Biz Kid$ webinars will be held on Wednesdays throughout the month of July. To register, visit sdccu.com/fww.
“Summer is a great time for parents to incorporate financial literacy learning for their kids in a fun, interactive way,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “As a longtime supporter of the Biz Kid$ program, we’re excited to be able to offer the SDCCU Biz Kid$ Summer Series webinars to the community this year.”
SDCCU launched the program in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education and the County of San Diego, in support of Live Well San Diego, in 2015. Biz Kid$ is an award-winning, comprehensive financial literacy program focused on teaching kids how to use credit wisely and about the importance of saving, budgeting, investing and giving back to their communities. The Biz Kid$ program and all episodes are based on national standards for financial literacy and entrepreneurship education, and have been mapped to individual state standards.
