A partner at Parkwood Business Properties, a company founded in 1975, Chris Meyer has pursued commercial real estate development across northern Idaho, including the areas of Coeur d’Alene, Hayden and Post Falls. His areas of focus include general office, medical office and retail.
Through Meyer’s work with Parkwood Business Properties, he has been tasked with overseeing the asset management of nearly 700,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail properties. He is also tasked with generating new leads for development, selecting development sites, assessing financing and seeing through construction execution.
Meyer comes with an extensive educational background in the field of real estate. At the University of Washington, he earned his Master of Business Administration in real estate in 2005 and his Master of Urban Planning in 2006.
Once his education was concluded, Meyer remained in the Washington area, serving as a development manager for Legacy Partners Residential at the company’s Seattle location. His most notable development was the Legacy at Pratt Park mixed-use apartment project, a development that received the 2010 neighborhood impact award from the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).
After his three-year period with Legacy Partners Residential, Meyer came to Idaho and firmly planted himself in the Coeur d’Alene community.
In addition to his work in commercial real estate, Meyer remains an active member of his community, serving on the boards for the Kootenai Health Foundation, the Hayden Lake Watershed Association and the Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership.
