A federal criminal charge has been filed against a Quincy, Mass., builder for allegedly lying to OSHA inspectors during a fatality investigation.
Mauricio Bainese, owner of Contract Framing Builders Inc., is accused of claiming a worker who died in a 2017 accident was employed by a different contractor when he was questioned by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration in July 2017. The worker died after falling from an unprotected ledge onto a concrete floor and died from a traumatic brain injury, according to OSHA.
