TWENTY-one-year-old Canberran Jahin Tanvir has been appointed as the CEO of the Australian School of Entrepreneurship (ASE).
Jahin is the founder and CEO of Breathe., a social enterprise providing public speaking education to young people and marginalised communities around Australia which has now been acquired by the ASE group.
The 2021 ACT Young Citizen of the Year says he’s excited to work with the organisation which provides life skills education programs to Australians of all ages.
“As a young entrepreneur, I’ve experienced just how important entrepreneurship skills are – when you start a business, you learn so many important life skills such as public speaking, financial literacy, sales and networking and I genuinely want to see a generation of young people equipped with these skills,” said Jahin.
“As a first-generation migrant moving to this country in 2003, empowering young people from all backgrounds, regardless of their age, gender or postcode is of great personal importance to me and I’m looking forward to taking the lead and inspiring hundreds of thousands of Australian youth.”
Jahin was also named a finalist for 2022 Young Australian of the Year.
