Savant Wealth Management says it has acquired two wealth management practices based in Iowa.
World Trend Financial is a registered investment advisor firm led by president and partner Tory Meiborg. It oversaw $730 million in assets as of July 15, according to Savant. Terry Lockridge & Dunn, headed by president and partner Paula Rogers, provides tax, accounting, payroll, business valuation and other consulting services, Savant says.
The two firms operate separately but have the same founder and share office locations in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, according to Savant.
Savant didn’t disclose the financial terms of the deal.
In a press release announcing the acquisitions, Meiborg said that his team was drawn to Savant’s broad range of services, in particular its tax planning and estate planning advice.
The incoming firms will bring a total of 37 employees to Savant, increasing its ranks to 318, according to the firm.
The company says that the two additions are its second and third acquisitions this year and the largest so far.
This summer, Savant also added Virginia-based Alliant Wealth Advisors.
Brent Brodeski, Savant’s founder and CEO, indicated that the company intends to continue acquiring firms.
“We are always looking for partners who have a desire to grow, address their succession-planning needs, obtain liquidity, and enhance their value proposition,” he said in the announcement.
