A DORSET-based insurance entrepreneur has further expanded his locally run business with the acquisition of a new office.
John Palmer, owner of Coversure Poole and Coversure Weymouth, has acquired a new office in Surrey as part of his post-pandemic growth plans.
Subject to final confirmation, John will become the owner of Coversure Croydon, a long-established ÂŁ2m independent brokerage based in Croydon, Surrey.
This is John’s second post-pandemic acquisition. In April 2021, he bought Coversure Maidstone as part of his strategic plan to have a string of high street insurance offices throughout the south of England.
John opened his first office, Coversure Poole, in 2015 following a successful management career with another leading broker. By 2018, John had a team of six and in October 2018 he acquired his second office in Weymouth.
Regarding his latest acquisition, John said: “I am incredibly excited about this addition to my business. Being close to Maidstone, the Croydon office allows us to set up a regional base of operations in the southeast to mirror the one we have in the southwest, which we can use to expand as opportunities present themselves.”
John says he has plans for further acquisitions in the future.
Coversure is the UK’s largest insurance franchise. It has 95 independently run franchised offices throughout the UK.
