The India Affiliate Summit (IAS) 2022, organised by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and vCommission, kicked off today with a plethora of activities including engrossing keynote sessions, masterclasses, panel discussions and exhibitions. The two-days-long 8th edition of the IAS is being held on September 14 and 15 at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram.
India’s biggest affiliate marketing event, with participation of national and international attendees from over 700 companies, brought together the brightest minds from the industry to network and provided a floor for them to discuss opportunities to push the business forward.
The first day of the conference saw a keynote session from Parul Bhargava, CEO, vCommission on ‘Lessons from my entrepreneurial journey in Affiliate’. The Summit also included spotlight sessions by Satya Kiran, Chief Executive Officer, Whistle and Vaibhav Sisinty, Founder & CEO, GrowthSchool on mobile marketing and growth hacks.
Delivering her keynote address Ms. Bhargava said, “Affiliate marketing has made businesses millions and people millionaires. Affiliate industry is so young and innovative that no one can say, we know it all.” Tracing the journey of the India Affiliate Summit since 2015, she added, “As I stand, from where we began this journey, I am very proud that now affiliate as an industry, as a department is prevalent in most brands, companies and agencies.”
“Affiliate is a massive pull. Being a marketer if you make your funnel right, with right checks, you can build your brand with bottom funnel,” Said Mr. Ameya Kaulgi, VP – Delivery & Ad Operations, Valueleaf, as an advice to marketers.
Through the day there were insightful discussions and deliberations on topics such as ‘B2B Affiliate Programs’, ‘Empowering SMEs through Partner Marketing’ and others. Industry experts presented new insights, data-driven strategies and innovative ideas on affiliate, ecommerce, D2C etc. Some of the other key speakers who addressed the conference on the first day included Kanika Mittal, Business Head, Twitter; Anita Nayyar, COO-Media and Communications, Patanjali Ayurved; Hari Pulipati, Industry Head, Automotive & D2C, Meta; Jahid Ahmed, Vice President and Head- Digital Acquisition, Content and Social Media Marketing, HDFC Bank, Rumi Ambastha, Director – Brand Marketing, The Man Company.
Regarding how might brands optimize their customer Lifetime Value, Anita Nayyar, COO-Media and Communications, Patanjali Ayurved said, “It is important to go back to basics in terms of brand benefits and customer engagement and once this war is won optimising customer Lifetime Value will follow.”
The second day of India Affiliate Summit, on September 15, has an equally stellar line up of speakers, thought provoking sessions and interesting insights being shared on social media listening, influencer marketing and creativity among others.
