Holt Lunsford Commercial Investments and Principal Real Estate Investors have partnered to develop a 1.76 million square foot business park in Forney, the companies announced in a news release.
Dubbed Gateway Crossing Logistics Park, the Class-AA property is situated on 127 acres along US 80 and is expected to open in late 2023.
“We remain bullish on the DFW industrial market, and Forney has seen tremendous growth over the past two years,” Jim Brice, partner at HLCI, said in the release. “Forney is primed for large-scale speculative development that is able to meet the needs of e-commerce, manufacturing, and distribution users.”
Comprised of three buildings, the first building totals 1,024,549 square feet, the secondspans 473,397 square feet, and the last makes up 264,940 square feet. Each building will consist of office space, abundant car and trailer parking, and 185-foot truck courts with 40-foot and 36-foot clearings.
“Principal looks forward to continuing our partnership with Holt Lunsford Commercial Investments on this development,” Kevin Welsch, investment director at Principal Real Estate Investors, said in the release. “This particular submarket continues to emerge with strong fundamentals, and with the best-in-class amenities and building specifications, we believe Gateway Crossing Logistics Park will have a competitive advantage within the Dallas-Fort Worth marketplace.”
The park was leased by Josh Barnes and canon Shoults of Holt Lunsford Commercial.
