What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a touring musician.
Where did you grow up?
The Rose-Rich Metroplex…basically Ft. Bend County. We moved a lot.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
A touring musician…or an attorney…glad I’m not an attorney.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Turn off phones, email, social media and watch a movie and/or hang with my wife and kids.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Right now, Elon Musk. I’ve got so many questions.
What is Houston’s best kept secret?
Shhh! Can’t tell you.
What do you love most about the industry?
Every day and every deal is different.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Usually all the calls and emails come in at the same time and everything needs to happen now. So it’s mostly just triaging everything.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Return calls. Return emails. Be nice. This doesn’t have to be a competition. Be humble. Take every opportunity you can (open houses, video tours etc.). Keep in contact with every lead you get. Follow up regularly. Don’t try to be an expert at everything. Be the expert of knowing where the experts are.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to?
Night Court…It’s funny.
What’s your favorite meal in Houston?
I’m open to the style/restaurant, but a good steak. Brazilian steakhouses or Ambrizia are good.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Houston?
Houston Cotton Exchange. It’s just pretty.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m actually a classically trained vocalist. I studied voice at HBU.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
So far it’s Costa Rica. It’s beautiful, the food is great and the people are very nice.

Don’t quit. Get up. Work hard. Serve people. Stay humble.
