According to Credit Suisse India ranks 16th in the global millionaire list at 7.96 lakh as of 2021.
United States, China, Japan, UK and France have most numbers of millionaires, CS report suggests.
As per CS, Indian millionaires will double by 2026 to 16.32 lakh from 7.96 lakh (up 105%).
China currently has 9 times more millionaires than India at 61.90 lakh and the figure is expected to rise to 121.97 lakh by 2026. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh did not feature on the list.
