Calhoun, MO (October 3, 2022) – Three teens were left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in Henry County. At around 4:50 p.m., on September 30, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol received a notification that a collision occurred on Route Y.
According to reports, a collision involving a 2006 GMC Sonoma occurred on Route Y at the intersection of County Road Northeast 400. The impact of the crash sent lead GMC off the right side of the roadway, where it overturned and ejected all of the occupants.
A 15-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, and a 16-year-old male were all injured in the crash. The 16-year-old male had to be airlifted by LifeFlight Air Ambulance and flown to children’s Mercy Hospital for emergency treatment. The two other victims were transported by ambulance. That 15-year-old male was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital by Golden Valley EMS. The 16-year-old female was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Golden Valley EMS.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
