The global authority in superyachting
1 image
When Benetti was developing the concept for its Oasis range of superyachts it started with the simple question: “what do owners really want from their superyacht?”. The Italian yacht builder concluded that owners were looking for a more dynamic and less formal lifestyle – one that involves less time lying in the sun, and more time exploring and reaching new places. And it was these core principles that formed the foundation of the innovative series.
The range was established with the launch of the Oasis 40M yacht, which has gone on to sell 12+ units since the first build. One of these units included Rebeca, which was sold to former American powerboat champion Tim Ciasulli and won a prestigious World Superyacht Award in 2021. Building on the Oasis 40M’s success in 2022, a smaller Oasis 34M version was unveiled and a remarkable 8+ yachts have already been sold.
The designer, RWD, has focused on altering the classic onboard concept to better suit the modern-day owner. The result, which was unveiled on the first Oasis 34M, Seaesta, includes the addition of several open-plan social areas in places where guests are kept as close to the water as possible.
From the outside, the Oasis 34M distinguishes itself with a sporty look that coincides with a youthful interior theme. The design has piqued the interest of another celebrity sportsman,  Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović. The striker took delivery of the second hull, named Unknown, in 2022.
With the Oasis 34M fast becoming a major player in the semi-custom market, BOAT takes a closer look at what life is like on board one of these standout yachts.
As the owner of Unknown has been seen enjoying, the yacht’s Oasis Deck® is one of the yacht’s standout features. The patented aft-deck design comes with opening balconies that, once extended over the water, are ideal for diving in, getting to grips with water toys, and boarding on or off a tender. There is also the Sea Lift, an integrated electronic platform which can be lowered and lifted in and out of the water. If needed, the Lift can haul out a Jet ski for storage on the aft deck.
The Oasis Deck® also features an infinity pool, where a transparent wall has been integrated into the sunbathing and lounge area to create a seamless design. For a guest walking from the main saloon, the journey to the aft is undisrupted and can be under the shade of the optional biminis if desired. Here, guests get the best of the on-the-water lifestyle, a sense of freedom and views as far as the eye can see.
New York-based architectural firm Bonetti & Kozerski were appointed as interior designers for the series and boast a portfolio of many prestigious projects, including the Pace Gallery in Manhattan and Donna Karan's private residences. For the Oasis 34M, the studio fashioned a contemporary and cutting-edge style that appeals to an international audience. The yacht’s neutral tones are perfectly in tune with the exterior teak decking and the light-coloured parquet inside.
In the main saloon, guests will find that the high ceilings and abundant natural light are key elements of the design. With window seats and sofas curved to face the exterior, anyone here will feel close to the outside environment and be able to enjoy the ever-changing scenery. As an extension of the indoor saloon, an alfresco seating area surrounding a firepit is located by the sliding glass doors, which can be kept open to make one fluid area.
As the highest point on board, the sundeck is set up for any social occasion, day or night. Under the cover of the hardtop lies a large dining table flanked by sleek and modern sideboards for storage. And next to the yacht’s barbeque is a more casual seating arrangement in the form of bar stools that overlook the aft. Once the grill is lit and the food is on the go, this is the ideal spot to enjoy a cocktail from the sundeck’s bar while watching the sun slip below the horizon. With plenty of space left for sunloungers, the sundeck’s Jacuzzi dominates the forward area and is surrounded by comfy sunpads, with more found a deck below on the foredeck.
With the full-beam owner’s suite positioned on the main deck forward, the remaining four staterooms cover the yacht’s lower deck. Guests are given ample storage spaces in each of the rooms with curved furnishings designed to replicate the flowing shape of waves. Within each marble-clad en-suite bathrooms are rainfall showers and large sink-cum-vanity areas.
With natural light spilling into almost every space, a key feature of these rooms are the large windows that can open to allow in the sea breeze. And thanks to the yacht’s shallow 2.03-metre draft, the first view out of these windows after waking up in the morning could be of a shallow bay, populated only by the Oasis 34M.
