Jennifer Lang recalled working in New York as a corporate manager when she got an emergency call that her mother had been rushed to the hospital. She left New York to see her mother hoping her stay will be short so she returns to work.
However, it turned out that the short days she hoped for turned into weeks and months, and eventually, she became her mother’s full-time caregiver. Medicare does not pay for long-term costs but only for up to 100 days so Lang hired home health care services to assist her mother for 10 years.
In doing so, she had to spend $35,000 a year for 10 years, totaling $350,000. To help reduce the out-of-pocket costs, she was informed about long-term care products but like any insurance product, it has to be in place before the need arises, Black News reported.

Her desire to help other people avoid her situation led her to start Jennifer Lang Financial Services, LLC after obtaining her life insurance license. Her company is based in Houston, Texas, and sells life insurance policies nationwide.
Prior to starting her company, she held the views of millions around the world that life insurance was something one needed for a funeral but she learned the hard way after her mother took ill and she had to spend hundreds of dollars caring for her.
According to Black News, her company has become so successful that Lang has opened two call centers. As her business contracted with many life insurance companies, she launched the call centers to offer competitive life insurance quotes to help consumers across the U.S. Most importantly, her vision is geared toward protecting the financial goals of Americans.
The insurance company works with some of America’s top insurance firms and has access to policies that meet a wide range of needs: affordable income protection, supplemental retirement income, and more.
Early this year, the company launched its new online Life Insurance Division staffed with licensed life insurance agents in all 50 states.
“We know that 86% of consumers research life insurance online, but as one gets started, the myriad of choices can become confusing,” said Lang at the time. “This new site is a more condensed knowledge base of information, to help serve our clients and it allows us to expand nationwide.”
