Trinity High School sophomore Keith Griffith III earned a prestigious new title this week.
At an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., Griffith was named the 2022 National Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Griffith’s proud mom told WLKY he is one of 3,000 students who applied for the “Dream Big” award, which offers top honors in eight categories. Griffith was recognized for his dedication to entrepreneurship while merging honeybee preservation and mental health.
WLKY first met Griffith in July 2020. At the time, he was launching his beekeeping and honey business to raise tuition money to attend his dream school, Trinity.

The business, called Beeing2gether, quickly sold out of honey and announced a monthslong waitlist. The publicity also connected Griffith with a donor who reached out to help pay his four-year tuition. The woman, who declined to be named, did it in honor of her late husband, who was also an avid beekeeper.
Griffith went on to write a book about how his beekeeping experiences helped his mental health.
The teen entrepreneur is now a thriving sophomore at Louisville’s Trinity High School. His mom said he completed his freshman year with a 4.0 GPA and earned his first Shamrock Award.
WLKY would like to congratulate Keith Griffith III for his outstanding accomplishments.
